





























The landscape of learning is changing. The introduction of academy schools by the Labour government heralds the move towards a more European model of education and has resulted in the demolition and replacement of many secondary schools nationwide.
The academy project documents the transition of a school community between two contrasting environments. Intending to record the shifting changes in the identity of the school and its students, the project documents the last term at the old community school and the new environment of the Merchants’ Academy.
